Description:
A beautiful silver crown size coin from the Mexico. This is the eight Reales republic issue of 1895. The coin depict a radiant liberty cap in the center with the legend "*8R.Zs.1895.F.Z. 10Ds. 20Gs." surrounding it. The reverse displays the Mexican Arms depicting an eagle standing on cactus, facing right with a snake in its beak. The edge of the coin has a raised chain design with a central raised continuous line. The coin weighs about 27 gm of 0.903 silver and is ~40 mm in diameter. Condition:
I would grade the coin as a good extremely fine with quite a bit of residual mint luster. The coin shows wear, a few scratches, some bag marks, and some hairlines to the surface on both sides. The coin also has some soiling and minor light staining at the edge especially. All of these issues can be seen in the photos presented. Be that as it may, this is still a nice coin to add to your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
