Vintage BARNETT Aluminum Crossbow

Vintage BARNETT Aluminum Crossbow.
Marked on top of trigger assembly:
"B & P  BARNETT ENGLAND".
The model is likely a PANZER II Aluminum Alloy Crossbow. This currently sports a pistol grip.
RARE.
Probably a first series or even a prototype model, has "Patent Pending" Foot Claw.
With the exception of the Steal sight, foot claw, trigger assembly, and plastic forearm grip, the entire frame and pistol grip are Machined Aluminum!
This creates a higher level of accuracy because wood and plastics are prone to warpage from temperature and humidity fluctuations, especially over time.
Solid Machined Aluminum creates a superior arrow rail.
This is extremely expensive to manufacture.
Pistol grip can be interchanged with a shoulder stock... So at the moment total length is 22 inches long and bow is 27 inches wide. Bow is covered and am unaware of it's specifications.
There is a slotted groove atop trigger mechanism to support a conventional scope mount. Also, the two top screws can support post type mounts. Thumb safety on right side.
Not certain of age maybe 1980s or earlier.
